I have a few of these crawling around. They can be collected in Maidenhead or I can post them for next day delivery.
They eat Aiptasia, and only Aiptasia. Once the Aiptasia are gone, you will have a 4-5-day window to move them on, otherwise they will starve and die.
Unfortunately, if you have peppermint shrimp, there is a good chance they’ll get eaten before they can do any damage to your Aiptasia.
Wrasses can be a problem too, but there are ways to mitigate your risks. As a good rule of thumb, if it CAN eat Aiptasia, it WILL eat these nudis. Filefish seem to be OK though.
The real damage they do once they start multiplying in your tank. You’ll see no change for two months, then all your Aiptasia are gone in two days. This process will be a bit shorter if you start with egg swirls too.
As it is the generations down the line that do the real damage, the recommended minimum number of nudis to start with is 3. A good rule of thumb is, that you need 1 for every 50 litres.
The nudis you will receive will be at least 12mm long when stretched out, and a maximum of one week from laying eggs. Most will be sexually mature by the time you get them.
Shipping is via Royal Mail next day before 1 pm. Please note, that I am most comfortable sending them when the lowest expected temperature at night is above freezing. I will get in touch so we can find the right time to send them.
